Mapuche Mythology
Mapuche Mythology is the collection of beliefs and stories of the Mapuche people, an indigenous group from southern Chile and Argentina. Central to their mythology are deities like Pewma, the god of dreams, and Antü, the sun god, who represent natural elements and human experiences.
The Mapuche also believe in the importance of nature and ancestral spirits. They hold that the earth, or Pewma, is alive and sacred, and they practice rituals to honor their ancestors and maintain harmony with the environment. These beliefs shape their culture, traditions, and connection to the land.
