Manuel Acuña
Manuel Acuña was a notable Mexican poet and playwright born on August 27, 1849, in Saltillo, Coahuila. He is best known for his passionate and melancholic poetry, which often reflects themes of love, despair, and existential contemplation. Acuña's most famous work, "Nocturno a Rosario," is a poignant expression of unrequited love and longing.
Acuña was also involved in the literary and cultural movements of his time, contributing to the Romanticism movement in Mexico. Despite his literary talent, he faced personal struggles, including poverty and mental health issues, which ultimately led to his untimely death on December 6, 1873.
