Maliki school
The Maliki school is one of the four major Sunni Islamic schools of jurisprudence. Founded by the scholar Malik ibn Anas in the 8th century, it emphasizes the practices of the people of Medina as a primary source of law, alongside the Qur'an and Hadith. This school is known for its flexibility and adaptability to local customs.
The Maliki school is predominantly followed in regions of North and West Africa, including countries like Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. It also has a significant presence in parts of the Arabian Peninsula. Its teachings focus on community consensus and the importance of public interest in legal rulings.
