Malaysian Qualifications Agency
The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) is a government body responsible for overseeing the quality of higher education in Malaysia. Established in 2007, its main role is to ensure that educational programs meet national and international standards. The MQA also manages the accreditation process for universities and colleges, helping to maintain the integrity of qualifications awarded in the country.
In addition to accreditation, the MQA develops the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF), which provides a structured approach to qualifications in higher education. This framework helps students, employers, and educational institutions understand the levels and types of qualifications available, promoting transparency and consistency in the education system.
