Malaysia Premier League
The Malaysia Premier League is the second tier of professional football in Malaysia, operating under the Football Association of Malaysia. Established in 2012, it features clubs competing for promotion to the top division, known as the Malaysia Super League.
The league typically consists of 12 teams that play each other in a round-robin format. Each season, the top teams earn the chance to move up to the Malaysia Super League, while the lowest-ranked teams may face relegation to the Malaysia FAM League. The league aims to develop local talent and enhance the overall standard of football in the country.
