Mae Klong
Mae Klong is a river located in central Thailand, flowing through the Samut Songkhram province. It is known for its scenic beauty and traditional fishing communities. The river is approximately 100 kilometers long and eventually empties into the Gulf of Thailand.
One of the most famous attractions along the Mae Klong is the Mae Klong Railway Market, where vendors set up their stalls right on the train tracks. When a train approaches, the market temporarily closes as the vendors quickly retract their awnings, allowing the train to pass. This unique market experience draws many tourists and showcases local culture.
