Macropus dorsalis
Macropus dorsalis, commonly known as the Western Grey Kangaroo, is a species of kangaroo native to Australia. It is characterized by its large size, long legs, and strong tail, which it uses for balance while hopping. This species typically inhabits open forests, woodlands, and grasslands, where it feeds primarily on grasses and leaves.
The Western Grey Kangaroo is a social animal, often found in groups called mobs. They are crepuscular, meaning they are most active during dawn and dusk. Like other kangaroos, they are marsupials, with females carrying their young in a pouch until they are mature enough to survive outside.
