MS Scandinavian Star
The MS Scandinavian Star was a ferry that operated between Norway and Denmark. Launched in 1984, it was designed to carry passengers and vehicles across the Skagerrak Strait. The ship featured various amenities, including restaurants, shops, and cabins for travelers.
Tragically, the MS Scandinavian Star became known for a devastating fire that occurred on April 7, 1990, while it was en route from Oslo to Frederikshavn. The incident resulted in the loss of 159 lives, making it one of the deadliest maritime disasters in Norwegian history. The ship was later scrapped in 1994.
