MRAP
A MRAP, or Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle, is a type of armored military vehicle designed to withstand explosive blasts and small arms fire. These vehicles are primarily used by the military to protect troops during transport in conflict zones. Their unique design includes a V-shaped hull that deflects blasts away from the vehicle, enhancing safety for the occupants.
MRAPs became widely used during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, where roadside bombs posed significant threats to soldiers. Various models of MRAPs, such as the Cougar and Buffalo, have been developed to meet different operational needs, providing essential protection and mobility in hostile environments.
