The Music Educators National Conference (MENC) was an organization dedicated to promoting music education in the United States. Founded in 1907, it aimed to support music teachers and enhance the quality of music instruction in schools. MENC provided resources, professional development, and advocacy for music education at all levels. In 2011, MENC rebranded itself as the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) to better reflect its mission and broaden its reach. NAfME continues to focus on advancing music education, offering various programs, events, and publications to support music educators and students across the country.
