MCAS
The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System, or MCAS, is a standardized testing program used in the state of Massachusetts. It assesses students in grades 3 through 10 in subjects like English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. The tests are designed to measure students' understanding of the state curriculum frameworks and help ensure that they are meeting educational standards.
MCAS results are used for various purposes, including evaluating school performance and determining student progress. The tests are administered annually, and students must pass certain MCAS assessments to graduate from high school. The program aims to improve educational outcomes and accountability in schools across Massachusetts.
