M1895 Rifle
The M1895 Rifle, also known as the M1895 Lee Navy, is a bolt-action rifle designed by James Paris Lee for the United States Navy. It was chambered for the .236 inch 6mm Lee Navy cartridge and featured a unique straight-pull bolt mechanism, allowing for faster cycling compared to traditional bolt-action rifles.
Adopted in the late 19th century, the M1895 was primarily used during the Spanish-American War and saw limited service in World War I. Its innovative design and lightweight construction made it a notable firearm of its time, although it was eventually replaced by more modern rifles.
