Lymphatic Malformations
Lymphatic malformations are abnormal growths of the lymphatic system, which is responsible for transporting lymph fluid throughout the body. These malformations can occur anywhere but are most commonly found in the head, neck, and extremities. They can appear as soft, fluid-filled cysts or masses and may vary in size.
These conditions are usually present at birth and can grow over time. While lymphatic malformations are generally not cancerous, they can cause complications such as pain, infection, or difficulty with movement. Treatment options may include surgery, sclerotherapy, or observation, depending on the severity and symptoms.
