Lycosa
Lycosa is a genus of spiders commonly known as wolf spiders. They are characterized by their robust bodies and excellent hunting skills, often stalking and pouncing on their prey rather than spinning webs. These spiders are typically found in various habitats, including forests, grasslands, and gardens, and are known for their agility and speed.
Wolf spiders are recognizable by their large eyes, which help them see well in low light conditions. They are usually brown or gray, allowing them to blend into their surroundings. Unlike many other spiders, Lycosa species do not build webs; instead, they rely on their keen eyesight and quick reflexes to catch insects and other small animals.
