Lutheran Churches
Lutheran Churches are Christian congregations that follow the teachings of Martin Luther, a German monk who initiated the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. They emphasize salvation by faith alone, the authority of Scripture, and the priesthood of all believers. Lutheran worship often includes traditional liturgy, hymns, and sacraments like Baptism and Holy Communion.
There are various branches of Lutheranism, including the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). Each branch may have different practices and beliefs, but they all share a commitment to the core principles established by Luther.
