Luiz Gonzaga
Luiz Gonzaga was a famous Brazilian musician, born on December 13, 1912, in the state of Pernambuco. He is best known for popularizing forró, a traditional music and dance style from the northeastern region of Brazil. Gonzaga's music often featured the accordion, which became a signature instrument in his performances.
Throughout his career, Gonzaga released numerous albums and songs that celebrated the culture and struggles of the Brazilian people, particularly those from the sertão, a semi-arid region. He passed away on August 2, 1989, but his influence on Brazilian music continues to be felt today.
