Luis Aparicio
Luis Aparicio is a former professional baseball player from Venezuela, known for his exceptional skills as a shortstop. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1956 to 1973, primarily for the Chicago White Sox. Aparicio was recognized for his speed and defensive abilities, earning him the nickname "Little Louie."
Throughout his career, Aparicio was a 13-time All-Star and won the Gold Glove Award nine times. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984, becoming the first Venezuelan player to receive this honor. His contributions to the game have made him a celebrated figure in baseball history.
