Luis Abinader
Luis Abinader is a Dominican politician and businessman who has served as the President of the Dominican Republic since August 16, 2020. He is a member of the Modern Revolutionary Party and was elected after winning the 2020 presidential election, succeeding Danilo Medina. Abinader is known for his focus on economic development and public health.
Before entering politics, Abinader had a successful career in business, particularly in the tourism and construction sectors. He was born on July 2, 1967, in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. Abinader holds a degree in economics from Purdue University in the United States.
