Luhya language
The Luhya language is a Bantu language spoken primarily by the Luhya people in western Kenya. It is part of the larger Niger-Congo language family and has several dialects, including Bukusu, Luhya, and Maragoli. The language is an important aspect of the Luhya culture and identity.
Luhya is primarily an oral language, but it has been increasingly written in recent years. It uses the Latin alphabet and has a rich tradition of storytelling, proverbs, and songs. Efforts are being made to promote and preserve the language through education and media.
