Luge
Luge is a winter sliding sport where individuals make timed runs while lying on their backs on a small, one- or two-person sled. The sled is designed to be aerodynamic and is steered by shifting body weight. Athletes compete on a specially designed track that features curves and straight sections, allowing for high speeds.
Competitors start from a standing position at the top of the track and push off to gain initial speed before lying down. Luge is part of the Winter Olympics and is known for its thrilling speed, with athletes reaching up to 90 miles per hour.
