Lower Baker Dam
The Lower Baker Dam is a hydroelectric dam located on the Skagit River in Washington State. Completed in 1925, it is part of the Baker River Hydroelectric Project, which includes the Upper Baker Dam. The dam generates electricity by harnessing the flow of water, providing power to thousands of homes in the region.
The Lower Baker Dam stands approximately 200 feet tall and spans about 1,200 feet across. It features a reservoir that helps regulate water flow and supports local ecosystems. The dam is operated by Puget Sound Energy, which manages its operations to balance energy production and environmental concerns.
