Louis XII
Louis XII was the King of France from 1498 until his death in 1515. He was known as the "Father of the People" for his efforts to improve the lives of his subjects. Louis XII was a member of the Valois dynasty and succeeded his cousin, Charles VIII. His reign is marked by military campaigns in Italy and significant legal reforms.
During his rule, Louis XII worked to strengthen the monarchy and expand French territory. He married Anne of Brittany, which helped to unite Brittany with France. His legacy includes the promotion of the arts and the establishment of a more centralized government.
