Louis II
Louis II was the King of Bavaria from 1864 until his death in 1886. He is often referred to as the "Fairy Tale King" due to his extravagant castles, including Neuschwanstein Castle, which inspired Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Louis was known for his reclusive nature and artistic interests, often seeking refuge in his elaborate constructions.
Despite his popularity, Louis faced political challenges and was declared mentally unfit to rule. He died under mysterious circumstances in Lake Starnberg, leading to speculation and conspiracy theories about his demise. His legacy endures through his architectural masterpieces and the romanticized image of his reign.
