Lord Carnarvon
Lord Carnarvon was an English aristocrat and Egyptologist, best known for financing the excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb in the Valley of the Kings. Born on June 26, 1866, he became the 5th Earl of Carnarvon and developed a keen interest in ancient Egypt, which led him to collaborate with archaeologist Howard Carter.
His financial support was crucial for the discovery made in 1922, which revealed a wealth of artifacts and treasures. Unfortunately, Lord Carnarvon died shortly after the tomb's opening, leading to speculation about a "curse" associated with the tomb, although this idea has been widely debunked.
