Lophiiformes
Lophiiformes is an order of fish commonly known as anglerfish. They are characterized by their unique method of predation, using a bioluminescent lure on their heads to attract prey. Anglerfish are found in deep-sea environments, where they have adapted to low light conditions.
These fish exhibit a variety of shapes and sizes, with some species having elongated bodies and others being more compact. Many anglerfish have specialized adaptations, such as large mouths and expandable stomachs, allowing them to consume prey much larger than themselves.
