Longleat estate
The Longleat estate is a historic stately home located in Wiltshire, England. It was built in the 16th century and is known for its stunning architecture and beautiful gardens. The estate is also famous for being the first stately home to open its doors to the public, which it did in 1949.
In addition to the house, the Longleat Safari Park is a major attraction on the estate. Opened in 1966, it features a variety of animals in a naturalistic setting, allowing visitors to drive through and observe wildlife up close. The estate is owned by the Thynn family, specifically the Marquesses of Bath.
