The Lockport Locks are a series of locks located on the Erie Canal in Lockport, New York. They were constructed in the early 19th century to help boats navigate the elevation changes along the canal. The Lockport Locks consist of two main locks, known as the Upper Lock and the Lower Lock. Together, they raise and lower boats by a total of about 49 feet.
