Lochsa River
The Lochsa River is a scenic river located in north-central Idaho, flowing through the rugged terrain of the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. It is approximately 32 miles long and is known for its clear waters and beautiful surroundings, making it a popular destination for outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, and hiking.
The river originates from the Lochsa Pass and eventually merges with the Selway River to form the Middle Fork Clearwater River. The Lochsa River is also significant for its historical importance, as it was part of the route taken by the Lewis and Clark Expedition in the early 1800s.
