Lisping
Lisping is a speech disorder characterized by difficulty pronouncing certain sounds, particularly the "s" and "z" sounds. Individuals who lisp may substitute these sounds with "th" sounds, resulting in words like "think" instead of "sink." This can affect communication and may lead to social challenges.
There are different types of lisping, including the interdental lisp, where the tongue protrudes between the teeth, and the dentalized lisp, where the tongue touches the teeth. Speech therapy is often recommended to help individuals improve their articulation and overcome lisping challenges.
