Linyphiidae
The family of spiders known as Linyphiidae, commonly referred to as sheet weavers or money spiders, is one of the largest spider families. These tiny spiders are often found in gardens, forests, and grasslands, where they create delicate webs close to the ground. Their webs are typically flat and sheet-like, which helps them catch small insects.
Linyphiidae spiders are usually less than 5 millimeters in size and come in various colors and patterns. Despite their small size, they play an essential role in the ecosystem by controlling insect populations. Many species are harmless to humans and can even be beneficial in gardens.
