Link and Pin Couplers
Link and pin couplers are mechanical devices used to connect two railway cars or other vehicles. They consist of a link that is attached to one car and a pin that fits into the link on the adjacent car. This design allows for easy coupling and uncoupling, making it efficient for train operations.
These couplers are commonly found in older railway systems and are known for their simplicity and reliability. However, they require manual operation, which can be less convenient compared to modern automatic couplers. Despite this, link and pin couplers played a significant role in the development of rail transport.
