Limbu Script
The Limbu Script is a writing system used primarily for the Limbu language, spoken by the Limbu people in parts of Nepal and India. It is an abugida, meaning each character represents a consonant with an inherent vowel sound that can be modified with diacritics. The script has its roots in the Brahmic family of scripts and has been officially recognized in Nepal.
Historically, the Limbu Script was used for religious and cultural texts, but its usage declined with the rise of the Devanagari script. In recent years, there has been a revival of interest in the Limbu Script, with efforts to promote its use in education and literature among the Limbu community.
