Liholiho
Liholiho, also known as King Kamehameha II, was the second monarch of the Hawaiian Kingdom, reigning from 1819 to 1824. He was the son of Kamehameha I, the founder of the kingdom, and played a significant role in the transition of Hawaiian society after his father's death. Liholiho is known for abolishing the traditional kapu system, which restricted certain behaviors and practices.
During his reign, Liholiho sought to modernize Hawaii and foster relationships with foreign nations. He traveled to England in 1823, where he met with King George IV. Unfortunately, Liholiho's reign was cut short when he died in 1824, leaving a lasting impact on Hawaiian history.
