Lieutenant Colonel Henry Lee
Lieutenant Colonel Henry Lee was a prominent figure during the American Revolutionary War. Born in 1756 in Virginia, he served as a cavalry officer and was known for his leadership and tactical skills. Lee was a member of the Lee family, a notable Virginia family, and he later became a close associate of George Washington.
After the war, Lee served as the governor of Virginia and was involved in various political and military roles. He is perhaps best known for his eulogy of George Washington, where he famously referred to Washington as "First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen."
