Lichen Planus
Lichen Planus is a chronic inflammatory condition that primarily affects the skin and mucous membranes. It appears as purplish, itchy, flat-topped bumps or lesions. The exact cause is unknown, but it may be linked to an immune system response, stress, or certain medications.
This condition can also affect the mouth, leading to painful sores or white patches. While Lichen Planus is not contagious, it can be uncomfortable and may require treatment to manage symptoms. In some cases, it resolves on its own, but persistent cases may need medical intervention.
