Libero
A libero is a specialized position in the sport of volleyball. This player is primarily responsible for defensive skills, particularly receiving serves and digging attacks from opponents. The libero wears a different color jersey and cannot attack the ball above the net's height. Their role is crucial for improving the team's defense and ball control.
In addition to their defensive duties, the libero can replace any back-row player without prior notice to the officials. This flexibility allows teams to maintain a strong defensive lineup while managing substitutions effectively. The libero's unique rules and responsibilities make them an essential part of a volleyball team.
