Liberian dollar
The Liberian dollar (LRD) is the official currency of Liberia, a country located on the west coast of Africa. It was introduced in 1943, replacing the Liberian pound. The currency is issued by the Central Bank of Liberia and is subdivided into 100 cents.
The Liberian dollar is used for everyday transactions within the country. It is important for trade and commerce, and its value can fluctuate against other currencies, such as the United States dollar. Both the Liberian dollar and the U.S. dollar are accepted in Liberia, making it a dual-currency economy.
