Liadov
Anatoly Liadov was a Russian composer and conductor, born on July 12, 1855, in Saint Petersburg. He is known for his orchestral works, particularly his tone poems and ballet music. Liadov studied at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory and became a prominent figure in the late Romantic period, often associated with the Mighty Handful, a group of nationalist composers.
Liadov's music is characterized by its rich harmonies and colorful orchestration. Some of his most famous pieces include "The Enchanted Lake" and "Kikimora." Despite his talent, he composed relatively few works, leading to a lesser-known but significant legacy in classical music.
