Lezgian
Lezgian is a Northeast Caucasian language primarily spoken by the Lezgins, an ethnic group in the Caucasus region, particularly in Dagestan (Russia) and parts of Azerbaijan. It is part of the Lezgic branch of languages, which also includes Avar, Tuvan, and Tabasaran. Lezgian has several dialects, with the most prominent being the Southern and Northern dialects.
The language is written using the Cyrillic script in Russia and the Latin script in Azerbaijan. Lezgian is known for its complex phonetic system and rich morphology, which allows for the formation of numerous word forms. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote the language, as it faces challenges from dominant languages in the region.
