Lesser Sandhill Crane
The Lesser Sandhill Crane is a medium-sized bird belonging to the family Gruidae. It typically measures about 3 to 3.5 feet in height and has a wingspan of approximately 6.5 feet. These cranes are known for their gray plumage, distinctive red crown, and long legs. They primarily inhabit wetlands, grasslands, and agricultural fields across North America during their breeding season.
