Lesion
A lesion is an area of tissue that has been damaged or altered due to injury, disease, or infection. Lesions can occur on the skin, organs, or other parts of the body and may appear as sores, lumps, or discolorations. They can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) and can vary in size and shape.
Lesions can result from various conditions, including infections, inflammatory diseases, or tumors. Medical professionals often use imaging techniques, such as MRI or CT scans, to diagnose and assess lesions. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may involve medication, surgery, or other therapies.
