Leonard Covington
Leonard Covington was an American military officer who served during the War of 1812. Born in 1780 in Maryland, he became known for his leadership and bravery in various battles. Covington was appointed as a colonel and later promoted to brigadier general, leading troops in significant engagements against British forces.
Tragically, Covington's life was cut short when he was mortally wounded at the Battle of Crysler's Farm in 1813. His contributions to the military efforts during this period earned him respect and recognition, and he is remembered as a dedicated soldier who fought for his country.
