Leila Slimani
Leila Slimani is a Moroccan-French author and journalist, born on October 27, 1981, in Rabat, Morocco. She is best known for her novels, particularly "Lullaby" (originally titled "Chanson Douce"), which won the prestigious Prix Goncourt in 2016. Slimani's writing often explores themes of motherhood, identity, and societal expectations.
In addition to her literary work, Slimani is an outspoken advocate for women's rights and has served as the French government's representative for Francophonie.
