Legislative Branch of Mexico
The Legislative Branch of Mexico is known as the Congreso de la Unión, which consists of two chambers: the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. The Senate has 128 members, while the Chamber of Deputies has 500 members. Both chambers are responsible for creating laws, approving budgets, and overseeing the executive branch.
Members of the Senate serve six-year terms, while deputies serve three-year terms. Elections for both chambers occur every three years, allowing citizens to vote for their representatives. The legislative process involves proposing, debating, and voting on laws that impact the country and its citizens.
