Lega Serie A
Lega Serie A is the governing body for the top professional football league in Italy, known as Serie A. Established in 1898, it oversees the organization and regulation of the league, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules. The league features 20 teams competing annually for the championship title.
Each season, teams play 38 matches, facing each other twice, once at home and once away. The league operates on a promotion and relegation system with Serie B, where the lowest-performing teams are relegated, and the top teams from Serie B are promoted.
