Lee Isaac Chung
Lee Isaac Chung is an American filmmaker and director, best known for his critically acclaimed film, Minari. Born in 1983 in Denver, Colorado, he is the son of Korean immigrants and often draws on his own experiences in his storytelling. Chung studied at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and later earned a degree in film from Yale University.
Chung's work often explores themes of family, identity, and cultural heritage. Minari, released in 2020, tells the story of a Korean-American family trying to establish a farm in rural Arkansas during the 1980s. The film received numerous awards and nominations, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.
