Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI)
Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) is a standard developed by the IMS Global Learning Consortium that allows different educational tools and platforms to work together seamlessly. It enables instructors to integrate external learning applications, such as quizzes or interactive content, directly into their Learning Management Systems (LMS) without complicated setups.
LTI simplifies the user experience by allowing single sign-on access, meaning students can use various tools without needing multiple usernames and passwords. This interoperability enhances the learning experience by providing a cohesive environment where educators can easily incorporate diverse resources into their courses.
