Le Redoutable
Le Redoutable is a French nuclear-powered submarine that was launched in 1967. It was the first of its kind in the French Navy and played a significant role in the country's strategic deterrence during the Cold War. The submarine is equipped with ballistic missiles, allowing it to carry out long-range missions while remaining hidden underwater.
The design of Le Redoutable features a double-hull structure, enhancing its durability and stealth capabilities. It can operate at depths of over 300 meters and has a crew of around 120 personnel. The submarine was decommissioned in 1991, but it remains an important part of France's naval history.
