Le Orme
Le Orme is an Italian progressive rock band formed in 1966 in Mestre, near Venice. The group is known for its unique sound that blends rock with classical and folk influences. Their music often features intricate melodies, poetic lyrics, and the use of keyboards, particularly the Hammond organ.
The band gained popularity in the early 1970s with albums like Collage and Uomo di Pezza. They are considered one of the pioneers of the Italian progressive rock scene, alongside other bands such as Premiata Forneria Marconi and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. Their influence continues to be felt in the genre today.
