Lawrencium
Lawrencium is a synthetic element with the symbol Lr and atomic number 103. It was first discovered in 1961 by a team of scientists at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Lawrencium is part of the actinide series and is classified as a heavy metal.
This element is highly radioactive and has no stable isotopes. The most common isotope, Lawrencium-262, has a half-life of about 2.5 hours. Due to its short half-life and the difficulty of producing it, lawrencium has no significant commercial applications and is primarily used for research purposes.
